Site Revenue Coordinator - Patient Care SecretaryWhat You Must Have:
High school graduate or equivalent experience; College preferred
At least two years’ experience in healthcare billing, preferred in hospice or home health operations
Experience with EMR software is a plus
Current State Driver’s License, reliable transportation and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance

What You Will Do:
Accurately enter patient/client billing data, nursing home rates, level of care, per diem, and physician billing or charges, visit charges, fee for service charges, and verify discharge and admission data
Coordinate, review, and analyze documentation and data entry supporting Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements to ensure accurate and timely billing
Maintain tracking tools to ensure that all necessary information is secured for timely accurate payment; including eligibility, insurance verification, authorizations, certification and recertification, state required documentations for Medicaid and Room and Board payment
Ensure that the appropriate payers have been identified and verified; including securing and reviewing the HIQA and the secondary payer questionnaire
Provide clerical support, which includes preparation of admissions, timely filing/processing electronically of patient records to patient chart, copying, tracking and obtaining Physician signatures, obtaining patient medical records.
Assist Patient Care Manager in tracking discipline visits, schedules, licensure alerts and other important information.
Alert appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for billing
Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures
Performance of other duties required
