What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a talented and creative Short-form Content Intern to support our Content team. The Short-form Content Intern will ideate and edit short-form videos for TikTok, Youtube Shorts, and Instagram Reels, to help scale Cloud9's short-form content plan for multiple game titles while adhering to strict quality and performance standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation with an established esports organization.

The ideal candidate must be attending a four-year college/university or a recent graduate and have a passion for storytelling and esports. The Short-form Content Intern will report to the Short Form Content Producer and work closely with our Marketing, Social, Merchandise, and Partnerships teams.

You must submit a short-form content portfolio to be considered.

This hybrid full-time internship opportunity will begin on 6/17/2024 and conclude on 9/6/2024 .

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the ideation, production, and editing of short-form video content for multiple social media platforms.
• Create graphic assets to support short-form edits.
• Record relevant in-game footage to support short-form edits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm creative ideas and concepts for engaging short-form content that resonates with our target audience.
• Support with analyzing engagement metrics and performance data for short-form content across various social media platforms.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights from content analytics to inform future content strategy and optimization efforts.
• Other responsibilities to be assigned.

Requirements

• Completed at least 2 years of college-level education (or equivalent) in film, media, communications or a related field.
• Experience with producing short-form content for Tiktok, Youtube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
• Must submit a short-form content portfolio.
• Remote work available. Prefer local to Los Angeles.
• Must be available to work in the office for a minimum of two days per week.
• Strong understanding of content production, with a focus on short-form content for social media platforms.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Familiarity and passion for esports, entertainment, and pop-culture.
• Ability to critically think on the fly and adjust behavior and solutions to the situation at hand.
• Ability to apply intelligence to practical, real-world scenarios, where a “book solution” doesn’t necessarily exist.
• Strong active listening skills with an emphasis on understanding. The artful ability to deliver clear and logical thoughts in response.
• High growth-oriented mindset with a strong internal need for achievement.
• Ability to work effectively and supportively with teammates to prioritize organizational and/or team priorities over individual needs, seeking out win-win situations wherever they exist.

The compensation for this internship is $19.00 per hour.
