About The Lamb Center (www.thelambcenter.org)
The Lamb Center (TLC) is a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, VA. It provides various services without cost to its guests, including breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry service, Bible study, case management, AA meetings, a nurse practitioner clinic, a dental clinic, and much more. TLC partners with local groups and organizations passionate about serving homeless individuals.
The Lamb Center’s Workforce Development Program provides work-readiness training for individuals with barriers to employment. The program offers a supportive work environment for individuals that meets them where they are and seeks to empower them to reach their greatest employment potential. We partner with the City of Fairfax and Fairfax County to provide green job skills maintaining city parks and public spaces. Skilling workers to excel in the jobs of today and tomorrow will create opportunities for our guests and improve our community. The city, the county, and our guests all benefit from this life-changing program. For some workers, the program serves as a stepping stone to full-time private sector employment; for all involved, it offers the dignity and sense of purpose that comes with earning a paycheck.
