Brewer I's perform a variety of routine cellar and packaging tasks in the brewery with accuracy and attention to detail. Performing these tasks with consistency and quality is key to brewing distinguished beers.
Packaging Responsibilities:

• Cleans and fills kegs

-Class I - canning line adjustments

• Canning line responsibilities
• Switchback responsibilities
• Performs packhall spa days and general brewery cleaning
• Operates the labeler for speciality beers
• Assists with warehousing as directed by Packaging Manager

Cellar Responsibilities:

• Performs CIP / SIP on Fermenters and Brite tanks
• Yeast prep, pitching and harvesting
• Prepping and performing dry hopping
• Yeast and trub dumping
• Performs Fermenter and Brite tank additions
• Monitors all critical parameters in cellar: pH, gravity, dissolved oxygen, carbonation, temperature

Other Responsibilities:

• Assists with warehousing and distributor loadouts
• Monitors Basecamp and provides daily shift update
• Participates meetings as necessary
• Tracks designated logs as called out in SOPs
• Other other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 months of food and beverage manufacturing experience preferred
• Coconino County Food Handler's Card
• Forklift Operator's Certificate

Required Abilities:

• Able to lift up to 65 pounds independently from floor, at waist level, and above waist
• Able to team lift up to 165 pounds, and may maneuver (not lift) using a dolly up to 330 pounds
• Able to stand for 10 hours per day
• Able to twist, crouch, bend, and stoop multiple times per day
• Can understand and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and handle chemicals in a safe manner
