The Project Search Coordinator is a key position in our program growth. The Project Search Coordinator collaborates with the team to develop and implement Project SEARCH programming. The Project SEARCH Coordinator represents MARC Community Resources with area employers to cultivate and create business relationships, internships, volunteer sites, and job shadowing opportunities for Project SEARCH Interns. The Project SEARCH Coordinator is primarily responsible for Job Developing as it applies to Project SEARCH, finding placement at internship sites or in their desired fields. The Project SEARCH Coordinator assumes responsibility to research employment skills, development curriculum and recommend and implement a plan for MARC programs. The Project SEARCH Coordinator works alongside the Transition Coordinator to develop relationships with area schools for collaboration and program growth. Works with Employment program staff to identify appropriate movement through programs i.e., Transition to Project Search and or ISE or Project Search and vice versa. This position requires business acumen, an executive presence, and experience with networking and outreach.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Associate degree in a related field with 3 years’ experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication/customer service skills and effective working at all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately and timely in emergency situations and make prompt decisions utilizing good sound judgment.
• Works independently and takes initiative for the completion of work in a timely manner.
