Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including but not limited to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry - Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist - Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient education - Maintain strict infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas - Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (Eaglesoft or similar software) - Assist with dental laboratory procedures such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Conduct patient assessments including taking vital signs and updating medical histories Skills: - Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping - Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft or similar) - Familiarity with computer-assisted design (CAD) software for digital impressions - Knowledge of dental receptionist duties including appointment scheduling and managing patient records - Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting - Ability to assist the dentist during various dental procedures - Excellent communication skills with both patients and team members - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
