TRAC Intermodal, a leading provider of intermodal chassis and services, is seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team and help develop cutting-edge AI solutions using generative AI, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), computer vision, and chatbots. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI models to solve complex problems for the transportation and logistics industry. The engineer will join a multidisciplinary team helping to shape our AI strategy and showcasing the potential for AI through early-stage solutions. Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver AI solutions.
• Customize and tailor existing generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT and Copilot.
• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models.
• Analyze and extract insights from large data sets.
• Research and stay up to date on the latest trends in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Collect, organize, and present progress to team leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Two or more years of experience in applying AI to practical and comprehensive technology solutions as an AI engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience working in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
• Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical teams and business stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into business value.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical business colleagues.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.

Technical Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with machine learning, deep learning, LLM, and NLP.
• Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and neural networks.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C .
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras is a plus.

• Experience in REST API development, NoSQL database design, and RDBMS design and optimizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Experience in customizing AI solutions such as ChatGPT and Copilot.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications with LangChain.
• Strong experience working directly with customers & ability to brainstorm concepts.
• Strong work ethic, critical thinker.
• Specific experience in the intermodal or transportation industries.
