Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse - Infusion, you will be responsible for providing specialized infusion therapy to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Administer infusion therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, assessing vital signs and addressing any adverse reactions or complications
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on the infusion therapy process, including potential side effects and self-care techniques
- Perform specimen collection processing as needed
- Assist with discharge planning and coordination of care for patients receiving infusion therapy
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records systems such as eClinicalWorks
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent infection
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in infusion therapy techniques and medications
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State]
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a nurse, preferably with experience in infusion therapy
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of discharge planning systems and processes
- Proficiency in ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
