Young and Polite Children's Dentistry is Hiring a Dental Assistant I Near Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and documentation in the electronic health record system (Epic)
- Assist with patient assessment and medical history
- Perform basic medical coding for dental procedures
- Assist with pediatric dental procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical coding practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

  • Coronal Polish Certification Preferred
  • Nitrous Oxide Certification Preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking is a plus
  • Dentrix experience is a plus

Please Note: Salary depends on certifications and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
