Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. • Sets up and performs progressive machining on various types of machine tools to close tolerances, requiring care in tool setting and selection of machining methods.
• Sets up and operates conventional lathes of various sizes, ranging from light to heavy duty.
• Sets up and operates conventional horizontal and vertical milling machines.
• Sets up and operates standard machine shop/toolroom surface grinders and pedestal grinders.
• Sets up and operates standard machine shop/toolroom support equipment including belt sanders, drill presses, and sandblasters.
• Works on semi-production and production jobs requiring the manufacturing of multiple pieces.
• Takes measurements and marks material for cutting or shaping.
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.

• Minimum three (3) years' experience working with lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and set-up own work.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
