Position summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Resident Care who is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The Director of Resident Care will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors in our community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct staff to provide quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
• Ensure sound infection control practices are in place that promote a healthy environment and ensure all required infection control training is met.
• Participate in resident and family care conferences.
• Ensure that changes in resident conditions are evaluated, reported, monitored, and documented with follow up to assure interventions are implement4ed and documented.
• Provide leadership and direction to the care team, including nurses, caregivers, and other staff members.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of each resident.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to resident care.
• Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of resident health and well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to coordinate medical care and services.
• Foster a supportive and collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and enhances the overall quality of care.
• Monitor infection control protocols and safety measures to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
• Oversee medication management and administration processes.
• Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure they have the necessary resources and training to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in NC
• Previous experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or long-term care
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Demonstrated leadership ability and a passion for serving seniors
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems is preferred
