We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Muscatine location. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patient for physical exam.
• Assists provider(s) in physical exam.
• Takes patient histories and documentation, obtaining all pertinent information related to the patient’s visit and previous medical history and drug allergies.
• Sets up examine rooms daily for appropriate medical and surgical procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a well organized patient flow through hallway examine rooms.
• Performs appropriate laboratory tests (including specimen collection, preparation of lab requisition forms, logging, etc.)
• Assists with biopsy procedures (including preparation of requisition, logging, etc.)
• Reports all lab findings to the physician(s).
• Schedule patient for any diagnostic lab procedures done outside office facility.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of MA accredited program required; CMA Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour
