Troon Headquarters is Hiring a Power Platform Automation Developer Near Scottsdale, AZ

General Purpose:

Power Platform Automation Engineer is responsible for leveraging the capabilities of Microsoft's Power Platform to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and drive digital transformation within an organization. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains automation solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform. This platform includes tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

Pay Range: $90,000-100,000/year

Essential Duties:

  • Designs, builds and maintains scalable, automated data pipelines to enable Reporting, Data Visualization, Advanced Analytics, Data Science, and Machine Learning solutions.
  • Design scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement using the Power Platform.
  • Define and document target processes, system integrations, and data flows, recommending best practices and industry standards to enhance business operations.
  • Configure and customize Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Establish best practices and solution governance frameworks for Power Platform implementations.
  • Train and support “citizen developers” within the organization: provide comprehensive and accessible instruction on the tools, platforms, and methodologies relevant to their development goals.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate technical concepts, progress, and recommendations effectively.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments, features, and best practices related to the Power Platform and Microsoft technologies.
  • Create knowledge capital that can be leveraged to accelerate project delivery, improve quality and to secure new engagements.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience, including expertise in Power Platform or D365 delivery as well as application deployment and/or distributed system implementation
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with expertise in Microsoft Power Platform components
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
  • In-depth knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents, including their capabilities, limitations, and integration options
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, optimization, and automation principles
  • Experience with configurations of Dataverse including, but not limited to, forms, workflows, business rules, record security, business process flows Ability to translate requirements into technical architecture for the solution that is scalable, flexible and complies with industry standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing consulting roles interacting with IT-leaders, product owners, C-level, Executive Sponsors, and business users
  • The drive and self-sufficiency to work independently, translate goals into action, own the success of your area of work, support and seek support from colleagues when needed
