Our employees are W-2 employees meaning we pay workers comp and unemployment as well as deduct the appropriate payroll taxes. No travel is required, all lessons are taught at our school. We do the lesson planning and curriculum development. Tracking student progress and homework is done during the lesson using our portal. All of this makes this an easy turnkey teaching experience! No homework for you : )

Details:

• All genres/styles, instruments, welcome to apply, being a multi-instrumentalist is a plus
• Part-time hours with Monday-Sunday availability (weekend availability is especially a plus!)
• Teach private, semi-private and group lessons to students age 5-99
• Opportunities to coach student ensembles, including glee clubs and bands, and prepare them for competitions and performance at public venues
• Abundant opportunity to assist at B2R events both at the school and in the community, such as birthday parties, summer/track out camps, student concerts and promotional/publicity events
• Teaching curriculum provided for all instruments

Requirements:

• A strong musical background and proficiency in one or more instruments.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of music theory and be able to communicate that with students.
• Previous teaching experience or a natural flair for effectively communicating musical concepts.
• A passion for music education and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
• Punctuality, professionalism, and a commitment to nurturing a supportive learning environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Music Credentials: A degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).
• Stage Experience: Involvement in music ensembles, bands, or performances.
• Melodic Diversity: Knowledge of various musical genres and styles.

Location: Back to Rock Music School is conveniently located in Apex, NC and is drivable from most locations around the Triangle.
