Club Scikidz is Hiring a Camp Counselor Near Pasadena, CA
Requirement / Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically engage campers by leading them through STEM experiments and lessons, hands-on projects, games, and activities for age groups ranging from Pre-Kindergarten-Rising 8th Graders (4-13 years).
- Facilitate Pre and Post camp games and activities with campers.
- Document all camp issues as needed including camper behavior and incidents.
- Complete assigned responsibilities including set-up, clean-up, and program maintenance. Assist with daily check-in and check-out. Supervise lunchtime activities.
- Build and maintain a good working rapport with co-workers, campers, and parents.
- Work in a team environment, creating a safe and fun experience for children.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly staff meetings.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Pasadena, CA (Preferred)
Requirements
- Proven experience as Camp Counselor or similar role working with children
- Familiarity with camping and various outdoor activities
- Patient and reliable
- Organizational and communication skills
- A love for children
- Energetic and positive personality
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to follow strenuous activities like hiking, running, crouching or carrying children)
- First aid- and CPR-certified preferred
- High school diploma
- You may need to pass a drug or background test according to local laws
