NaviStone is Hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid) Near Cincinnati, OH
The Role
NaviStone is on a mission! We’re moving fast, doubling the size of our business over the next 2 years. Our team is rapidly expanding our footprint and we are hiring a new Senior Software Engineer on our team. This role will allow you to collaborate with an innovative and forward-thinking team, use your deep industry knowledge to directly contribute to the release of quality engineering solutions, and support the future of the software and company.
- You will develop, maintain, and scale the codebase of our enterprise processes and services.
- You will participate in planning sessions and contribute to the running of an Agile work environment.
- You will be responsible for testing components and services comprehensively.
- You will leave the code better than you found it.
- You will perform code reviews with an eye beyond the characters on the page.
- You will need to organize and present technical proposals and demos to peers and the product team.
- You will mentor and support your fellow team members.
- You will have the opportunity to contribute to the direction and vision of the overall product.
- You have a minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience with a strong data focus
- You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- You enjoy working on a software engineering team
- You exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of your duties
- You ask considered questions and use the answers to build quality products
- You have the ability to explain and support your decisions, opinions, and proposals
- You have helped manage the development of software using Agile Scrum methodologies
- You are comfortable taking on technical lead responsibilities
- You passionately champion quality within the team and build practical, balanced solutions
- You make ongoing learning and career development a priority
- You are expert in C# and SQL and are able to jump into most anything new
- You are skilled with .NET Core, Airflow, Redshift, SQL Server, Postgres, and APIs
- You have experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- You have extensive experience working with data, data collection, and data pipelines
- You can clearly communicate complex technical issues
- You understand how applications & processes fit together and how systems interact in support of our customers and in support of the company's mission
- You mentor and support software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities
