The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church USA is Hiring a Manager, Design & Multimedia Near Philadelphia, PA

The role:

The Manager, Design & Multimedia, reports to the Director, Marketing and Communications, and oversees all aspects of the design and multimedia process, from concept to execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet brand standards.

What you will do:

  • Provide effective leadership to the design and multimedia team, by managing performance, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring continued professional development.
  • Lead creative development from concept to execution, providing guidance and feedback to design and multimedia professionals.
  • Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines to uphold consistency and brand integrity across all design.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure timely delivery of work.
  • Develop collateral for a variety of high-quality, inclusive communications that inform, educate, and engage audiences in support of the Board and its benefits offerings.
  • Collaborate across the Marketing and Communications team to ensure strategic objectives are met, providing regular updates on project status to team management.

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • An ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff, providing creative leadership and mentorship while fostering collaboration in an inclusive environment.
  • Excellent conceptional thinking and problem-solving skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • An ability to translate abstract concepts into visual storytelling.
  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, digital media, visual communications, or a related discipline is required with a minimum of five years of experience leading a creative team.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and digital asset management systems.
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities effectively and simultaneously manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities.
  • A high level of creativity, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • An ability to build relationships with team members, colleagues, and senior management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and an ability to work simultaneously on multiple assignments.
  • Flexible with an ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive within a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • An ability to understand the Benefits Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the nature and expectation of the membership with the capability to translate this understanding into working knowledge of projects and deliverables.
  • An ability to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday at the 2000 Market Street office in Philadelphia.
  • An ability, interest, and desire to stay current and maintain a level of multimedia and design expertise via seminars, industry literature, and formal training and development.
