Saybr is a leading provider of construction, maintenance, and decommissioning services in the energy sector. We specialize in petroleum gas stations, alternative fuel systems, and environmental soil and water remediation and recovery systems.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Pipefitter to join our Energy Division. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working with underground piping for gas stations and a strong understanding of fluid mechanics and pipe layout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction, maintenance, and decommissioning of petroleum gas stations, alternative fuel systems, and environmental soil and water remediation and recovery systems.
  • Installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of aboveground and underground fuel piping systems and storage tanks.
  • General pipefitting duties and occasional general labor activities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties:

  • Precision cutting, threading, and tapering of pipes to meet exact specifications using a variety of tools including saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
  • Skillfully assembling and securing pipes, tubes, fittings, and associated equipment according to precise guidelines through methods such as welding, brazing, gluing, soldering, and threading joints.
  • Thoroughly inspecting, examining, and testing installed systems and pipelines utilizing a range of techniques including pressure gauge assessments, hydrostatic testing, observation, and other specified methods.
  • Utilizing full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment as provided in blueprints to accurately lay out and implement installations.
  • Strict adherence to company safety protocols and the consistent use of appropriate protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support project needs and operational requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience working with underground piping for gas stations.
  • Experience with flexible piping systems and fiberglass piping systems.
  • Knowledge of tank installation and decommissioning.
  • Ability to travel to job sites throughout Washington, Oregon, and potentially the Western United States.
  • ICC certification for UST Installation/Retrofitting and UST Decommissioning preferred.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and FBI background investigation.
