Position Purpose:
As a Senior Plating Technician at Translarity, your role involves managing the chemistry in plating processes. Your goal is to achieve optimal plating compositions for electrolytic copper, electroless copper, and ENIG. This includes developing additional compositions for etching and stripping parts, with adjustments based on part outcomes. Requirements:
· SME (Subject Matter Expert) in plating related processes.
· Conduct daily titrations and analyses at each process step (bath) to qualify processes for production.
· Monitor chemistry changes in composition and process reliability.
· Discuss and follow up on corrective action where required.
· Manage chemical inventory, track chemical usage and disposal of spent chemicals.
· Ensure compliance with safe handling practices through SDS documentation.
As a team member, you will also:
· Participate in hands-on production floor activities, including but not limited to sputtering, photolithography, and Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP).
· Utilize analytical equipment including but not limited to profilometers, ellipsometers, Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs), and Flying Probe Testers.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Extensive hands-on experience with plating processes, chemistry, and equipment, particularly electrolytic/electroless copper and ENIG,
· Experience with Printed Circuit Boards is a plus.
· Familiarity with MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) unit processes and materials associated with photolithography and sputtering.
· Experience with ceramics, particularly silicon nitride, will be considered advantageous.
· Adaptability to changing company needs and priorities, with a self-motivated team player mindset.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Work hours will be 12p – 8:30p PST
Education:
Associate’s degree or higher in a chemistry or other scientific discipline (Chemical/Electrochemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant plaiting experience
