Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Golf Course Mechanic. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Mechanic to ensure all equipment is operating correctly to perform and complete daily tasks efficiently. While prior experience in golf course mechanics is not necessary, it is a plus. Basic mechanic knowledge and experience with small engine repair are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Mechanic in maintaining and repairing golf course equipment and machinery.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment to identify any issues or potential problems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and blade sharpening.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with other tasks on the golf course as needed.

Requirements:

• Basic mechanic knowledge and experience with small engine repair.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from the Head Mechanic.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and occasional weekends.
• Previous experience in golf course maintenance or mechanics is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 42 per week
