Eckhart’s Engineering Manager is a key member of the management team responsible for leading all engineering and program management activities. The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset and seek to engage at a detailed level in the day-to-day activities required to deliver product on-time and under-budget. All business unit program managers and the design function will report to the Engineering Manager. Challenging program managers, project engineers, designers and detailers to integrate sound engineering practices and adhering to a standard process work flow will be a high priority. The individual must possess a sound technical background in the “General Assembly” automotive environment of major OEMs. Demonstrating exceptional customer service and responsiveness is a requirement. A four year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or a related field is required. Also require at least five years of engineering management, leadership, and custom automotive tooling experience.
