Wisconsin Institute of Urology is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Neenah, WI

The Director of Operations has full accountability and oversight of all clinic operations within WIU including the clinical staff, patient service, and diagnostics teams. The director ensures clinic operations support the goals of WIU with an emphasis on providing exceptional patient care with high integrity in a resourceful manner. This position is responsible for planning and implementing improvements as well as identification and launch of new program/service opportunities applicable to the specialty of urology. The clinic director ensures customer satisfaction and staff adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. Practices fiscal awareness and management of expenses with a goal of optimizing revenue for the shareholders while promoting longevity of the practice.

Essential Job Duties

1. Provides planning, direction, coordination, management, and oversight of all services provided at WIU clinic locations. Establishes and monitors goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for all operational areas of the clinic, effectively managing operational performance of all WIU clinic locations.

2. Identifies and addresses opportunities for improvement regarding performance, efficiency, profitability, and patient and employee service. Evaluates care to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Responsible for team member hiring, onboarding, and overall employment experience. This includes processes and judgement used in identification and hiring of candidates, area/departmental orientation plan for new staff members, ongoing education and competency maintenance for staff, provision of timely feedback and evaluation, recognition and disciplinary actions.

4. Performs recruitment, supervision, training, development, and evaluation of Leadership team members within areas of oversight. Responsible for performing annual employee performance reviews for leadership team as well as ensuring annual reviews of Clinical, Patient Access, and Diagnostic staff occur timely and effectively.

5. Demonstrates a strong and ongoing commitment to achieving expense management expectations as well as identification and implementation of enhancements to practice revenue.

6. Works in collaboration with WISE DON and Practice Administrator, ensuring a culture of cooperation, effectiveness, and consistent patient experience and care between WIU and WISE.

7. Provides leadership in clinical problem solving and clinical quality improvement initiatives for all WIU locations. Actively participating member of WIU Leadership team, collaborating with colleagues on identification, implementation of changes. Role model regarding change management, communication, and responsiveness.

8. Oversees/Directs the implementation and interpretation of clinical organizational policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for all clinical staff. Develops and implements clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance. Participates in the evolution and refinement of quality improvement processes, including patient and employee satisfaction.

9. Ensures annual competencies and staff licensure documentation for all clinical staff are appropriately evaluated and documented.

10. Evaluates equipment and or new lines of service opportunities that promote patient satisfaction and provide enhanced revenue.

11. Participates in creation, implementation, and adherence to a budget that maximized profit for shareholders while meeting the mission of the organization.

12. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing and/or comparable field and have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare leadership. Must be highly skilled in evaluating operations as they relate to policies, goals and objectives including effectiveness of resource utilization and patient care. Experience in identification and implementation of effective workflows is essential. Knowledge of effective use of Epic as an EMR will be incredibly helpful. Must be able to relate effectively and professionally with employees and patients. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally. Must have ability to deal with the public in a professional, courteous and diplomatic manner. Act as a hands-on leader. Demonstrates strong initiative, is an independent thinker and contributor while also leading and motivating a team. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Individual in this role must be able to move freely around the office environment and will have routine early morning work with occasional evening and weekend duties as well. Travel may be required.

Essential Knowledge and Behaviors: Professional yet approachable leader with nursing experience and a willingness to lean into all roles within WIU Clinic Operations (rooming, triage, PSR, diagnostics). Demonstration of professional, patient focused prioritization while maintaining a favorable employee experience and responsible fiscal management. Job Relationships: The Director of Operations role oversees managers, supervisors, and leads in areas where patients are cared for during their care under WIU. The position reports to the Practice Administrator.
