Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Bookkeeper. As an Assistant Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.
Duties:
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee records
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements
- Collaborate with the bookkeeping team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Stay updated on financial concepts and accounting principles
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department and GAAP knowledge
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an assistant bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks)
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Knowledge of governmental accounting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
