Nurse Practitioner Residency Program VA Portland Health Care System: ENROLLMENT OPEN

Two Tracts:

• Primary Care
• Psychiatric Mental Health

What is NP Residency:

• 12 month, supervised clinical training experience in the VA Portland Health Care System
• 100% protected time alongside NP Clinical Supervisor
• Team based, supportive environment
• Patient-centered care with curriculum focused on issues specific to ambulatory medicine or mental health
• Evidence based project with mentorship

Compensation:

• Annual stipend of approximately $84k
• 4 hours of Sick leave per pay period
• 4 hours Annual leave per pay period
• Medical/Dental/Vision coverage
• NO weekend or night shifts
• Personal Liability Protection

Eligibility Requirements:

• Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Master’s or Doctoral Nursing program within the past 12 months
• Obtain board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner & State licensure within 90 days of starting the residency program.
