Job Description
Inventory Coordinator (SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division)
SPS Companies Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators) is currently seeking an individual to fill an Inventory Coordinator role at our Maple Grove location. This is a union position with the local 417 PipeFitters Union. The starting wage is $19.69 with a wage increase every 6 months until reaching full scale following a 3-year progression based on current union agreement. Current top scale is over $30.00/Hour.
Job Description Overview
Receiving of Material from vendors
Verifying what we received is what was ordered/shipped
Accurately and timely process of placing material into stock
UPS/SpeeDee shipments
Packaging material up (Boxes) for shipment
Processing in Starship to ship material
Handle new sales orders released from sales staff and direct them to the correct location for processing
Fill customer orders as time allows
Professional communication between other warehouse employees
Provide counter sales support when necessary
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work space
Other duties as assigned
Reports to the Production Manager
Union position (hourly)
Location: Pipe Fabricators - Maple Grove, MN
Qualifications
Previous receiving experience (preferred but not required)
Previous order filling experience (preferred but not required)
Standup Electric Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills, including speaking with customers/sales staff face-to-face and over email
About SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators)
Established in 1984, Pipe Fabricators provides premier fire protection products and fabrication. Our Maple Grove location is one of six branches within the fire protection division of SPS companies, Inc. In addition to fire protection, SPS has a plumbing/HVAC division, and a roofing and sheet metal division.
This is a full-time position. Hours will be 7:30am - 4pm, but may vary on occasion. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, life, AD&D, long-term and short-term disability insurance. SPS companies, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are a drug-free workplace, with pre-employment drug screening required.
