Medical Records / Central Supply Coordinator

TERRACES OF LAKE WORTH, A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY LOCATED IN LAKE WORTH, FL is currently recruiting for a dedicated MEDICAL RECORDS / CENTRAL SUPPLY COORDINATOR to join our growing team.

Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center strives to provide the highest quality of medical and nursing care, in an atmosphere that promotes healing and wellness.

Shift : Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Additional compensation includes :

• 1.5X Holiday Pay
• 1.5X Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week

Medical Records / Central Supply Coordinator Responsibilities :

• Review admission information for accuracy and completeness
• Organize medical records to establish an order for permanent filing
• Note deficiencies to be completed by physician and professional staff
• Maintain and follow -up on records with deficiencies until the record is complete.
• Upon discharge, assemble and review medical records for completeness
• Ensure receipt of records of residents discharged from the facility.
• Responsible for implementing discharge summaries with physician and staff
• Ascertain the existence of medical records of discharged residents and retrieve my prior records for inclusion with current records
• Code and quantify records from admission to discharge
• Assist with the development of record policies and procedures
• Maintain a documented, organized system readily accessible for authorized staff
• Prepare reports as requested
• Maintain confidentiality at all times

Medical Records / Central Supply Coordinator Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluent in English
• At least 2 years experience in Health Information Management / Medical Records at Skilled Nursing Facility highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical record procedures
