Current openings are primarily at The Duck Store in Washington Square Mall.Weekday availability during the hours between 9am and 5pm required.Wage and Benefits
$15.90 per hour
After required waiting periods benefits include holiday, vacation and sick pay; 401(k) pension plan; merchandise discount; employee assistance program; and UO Associate ID.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork daily on sales floor and cash register assisting customersQuickly and accurately complete sales and return transactions on cash registerApply variable inventory, sales, and marketing concepts at the register to accurately process customer and reflect inventory Stock and display merchandise for salePrice and check in merchandise and accurately maintain inventory records according to location procedureCarry out Duck Store's customer service program through all work activitiesOther duties as assignedPosition Requirements
Experience and Skills RequiredDemonstrated ability and strong desire to enthusiastically provide high standard of customer service with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.Passion and enthusiasm for serving those who love the Ducks, the UO and affiliated communityUse reasoning, independent judgment, and decision making skills to accurately apply variable inventory, sales, and marketing concepts in processing transactions using the computer and cash register in busy environmentsHigh degree of attention to detail and ability to frequently shift focus with customer interruptionsWork effectively and pleasantly with customers and co-workers with willingness and ability to create and maintain relationships with regular store customersWillingness and ability to learn product lines necessary to serve the needs of the customerSales positions require ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and move up to 25lbs on a consistent basisAbility to apply basic math skills to include addition, subtraction and making change quicklyExcellent record of reliability and initiative in previous employmentThis is an hourly, part-time position at $15.90/hour. Work schedule will vary according to store needs and include regular evening and weekend shifts. All positions require weekend availability and at least 12 hours total week days. Preference will be given to candidates willing to work any location.Applicants must be available to work all store hours (some dictated by mall hours).About the Organization
