The ideal candidate for this position will have FFSA and/or NICET certifications. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Must be able to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the equipment is working properly.
• Able to successfully determine causes of operating errors and problem solve solutions to fix them.
• Knowledge of controlling operations of equipment or systems. 
• Able to review blueprints and plans for new or remodeled buildings to ensure the structures meet safety codes. 
• Write detailed reports regarding inspections completed with corrective recommendations clearly stated. 
• Inspect and test fire protection systems to verify that such systems are installed in accordance with appropriate laws, codes, ordinances, regulations and standards. 
• Perform flow, fire pump and main drain tests as well as properly trip pre-action systems.
• Qualified to accurately fire pump test and calculate actual flow GPM hoses
• Skilled in pitot gages with knowledge of graphing pump curve
• Must be willing to travel to local job site locations
• Must be able to be available on-call when scheduled
• Must be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade
