ROLE SUMMARY

The Cultivation Tech role will carry out day to day processes and procedures and hold to standard the implementation of overall cultivation and harvest practices. The position may include but is not limited to; seedling care, propagation, mother care, flowering plant care, defoliation, fertigation oversight, data collection, IPM oversight, waste management, facility cleaning, harvest and compliance to SOPs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• All aspect of cultivation operations including: taking clones, potting, transfers, plant nutrition, pruning, IPM applications, cleaning, plant and facility maintenance, harvesting
• Assuring plant health by identifying outliers within the population
• Collection of agronomic data
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Promote a positive and supportive company culture
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to work independently and exercise independent judgment
• Basic understanding of plant health science

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma/GED
• One year in commercial cultivation or agriculture

PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Associates( ) in Horticulture, Botany or an Agricultural Science
• Two years commercial cannabis/hemp production
• One year experience in data collection

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
• Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have normal supervisory responsibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses security equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as production equipment, tools and chemicals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or sit for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.}. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position is full-time and hourly.

TRAVEL

Overnight travel is not expected as a function of this position but may be requested by management.
