Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and committed MDT Coordinator to join our dynamic and innovative organization. This position is responsible for the review and coordination of child abuse and neglect cases and is established to improve communication across agency lines, ensure accountability within the team response and to enhance services for child victims and their non-offending family members.

Education and Training
Required Knowledge and Skills
• Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must respect and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge and understanding of infancy/early childhood development including the impact of trauma.
• Knowledge and understanding of various evidence-based trauma-informed care therapy models will be helpful.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal, written and active listening) to include knowledge in facilitating difficult conversations.
• Effective communication/comfort with public speaking
• Demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
• Stable, resilient and flexible under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• High level of initiative and energy.
• High level of professionalism.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrate use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Work Experience
• Previous professional experience working in early childhood preferred.
• Previous experience in working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous professional experience related to the investigation and treatment of child abuse cases.
• Previous experience working with a multidisciplinary team preferred.
Other
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
• Must submit and successfully pass a criminal history background check.
• Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Position may involve some travel, primarily within the state.
