Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North is Hiring a Health Center Manager ($30-$37/hr) Near Pullman, WA

Description

Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI) is on the search for a Health Center Manager in Pullman. 

The Health Center Manager (HCM) manages all aspects of clinic operations at the health center including services for family planning, primary care, and medical abortion Services. The HCM works with internal staff, clients, vendors, and other external constituents and is responsible for ensuring excellence in all areas of the clinic dashboard.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Regional Director of Clinical Services. Days and hours of work are scheduled during health center operating hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or until the last patient leaves. This position may need to work long hours and weekends as needed.

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is an essential requirement of working at PPGWNI religious and medical exemptions will be considered upon request.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellence in all aspects of the clinic scorecard – which measures patient satisfaction, clinical quality, direct margin, and patient visits– and that assigned clinic operations are in compliance with all protocols and policies.
  • Assess and strengthen the clinic team: Provide feedback, coaching and mentoring, goal-setting, and create an environment that supports teamwork and reflects our In This Together values.
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of clinic operations.
  • Manage resources effectively to support exceptional health care services and a strong patient experience.
  • Ensure each clinic employee is performing at a high level and has the required skills for their job. Take an active role in training and developing staff.
  • Lead the clinic in modeling excellent customer service and In This Together values and service standards. Monitor staff and review patient feedback – including Press Ganey patient survey data – to assess patient experience. Identify deficiencies and help develop and train staff in customer service skills, taking advantage of available internal/external resources.
  • Ensure sound financial performance of the clinic, increasing revenue and decreasing costs, while increasing productivity to meeting the three visits/hour goal (per clinician).
  • Maintain clinic data accurately and efficiently and with minimal errors to facilitate billing.
  • Produce staff schedule, weekly reports, client schedule, clinic meeting agenda and minutes, evacuation drills and similar work on a timely basis and in accordance with best practices and affiliate procedures, policies, and protocols. Approve time-off requests, review and approve time cards, notify Organizational Development (OD) of employees’ need for leave (medical/personal) and send RTW documents to OD as presented.

Required qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Exceptional organization and detail management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. 
  • High level of comfort with changing priorities, and ability to be flexible and creative in the face of challenges.
  • Strong commitment and track record of creating and sustaining a supportive and safe work environment. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to health equity, and DEI principles. Strong desire to – or prior experience with – weaving these into management practice.

Bonus qualifications

  • Front and back medical office experience preferred with knowledge of supporting regulations (such as HIPAA). 
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in a health care setting. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Supervision of health center staff.

Travel

  • Travel to will be to affiliate sites and other venues as needed. 
  • Valid unencumbered drivers license, proof of insurance, and personal vehicle required.
  • Travel will be reimbursed and time spent traveling is paid.
