Job Summary:

Highly visible Operations role that is accountable to manage and coordinate all processes and operations associated with having the right product in the right place at the right time.

Work Performed:

Interface with internal Planning and Sales teams, customers, manufacturers, customs brokers, carriers, and NVOCCs to ensure on time delivery of goods.

Tasks:

1. Logistics

a. Interface with internal Planning and Sales teams, customers, customs brokers, carriers, and NVOCCs to ensure on time delivery of goods.

b. Coordinate international bookings (import and export) with carriers, NVOCCs, and vendors while ensuring that processes are compliant with US and foreign regulations.

2. Vendor Management & Communication

a. Interface with manufacturers to execute bookings and ensure on time delivery of goods.

Additional Duties As Assigned

Knowledge:

1. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Access, etc.

2. Thorough knowledge of ocean import/export booking processes and incoterms

Skills:

1. Skilled at communication across all levels of an organization and with third party partners

2. Time management and keen organization skills

Abilities:

1. Ability to develop a strong rapport with colleagues, providers, and manufacturers

Education: BS or MS – Business or related field

Experience: Minimum 2 years of freight forwarding experience
