This is a fast-paced business with a reputation for quality, custom reports, and outstanding customer service. We will train the right individual, but currently licensed inspectors should apply! Experience and qualifications will determine starting base pay. 

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A FIREFIGHTER/POLICE OFFICER/SHIFT WORKER OR A CURRENT INSPECTOR OR MILITARY RETIREE TO WORK PART TIME.  This position is in the Clarksville/Nashville TN area and the surrounding counties. Currently a commission position but possibility to grow into hourly based on need. 

Job Requirements:

  • Business minded. Strong attention to detail.
  • Understand the importance of quality and consistent customer service
  • Basic knowledge of residential home systems and components
  • Ability to participate in local marketing events or programs (sometimes after hours/weekends) If able. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great listening skills
  • Thoroughly inspect interior and exterior of homes in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice
  • Take clear photos of each area of the home and notate any deficiencies
  • Document your findings clearly in writing using a tablet or iPad.
  • Generate inspection reports within immediately at end of inspection using report writing software provided by Pillar To Post Home Inspectors
  • Effectively communicate with clients and agents ****
  • Discuss your findings with clients and answer questions as necessary
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Have the aptitude and mental ability to problem solve and conduct professional conversations with real estate agents and customers
  • A great attitude, good presence, and energy
  • Integrity and strong work ethic. Punctuality and ability to work unsupervised - BE ON TIME for all inspections.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current insurance
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl space, enter attics as well as stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to pass all employment screening and technical knowledge exams
  • Required to authorize background, drug tests, and driving checks 
  • Pay is dependent on skillset, experience, continuing education, and customer satisfaction

  • Training Paid at intervals after completion
  •  Low-stress culture including motivation and support toward professional growth
  • Tools, including IR Camera, ladders, video camera, laptop, RADON equipment, etc. all supplied
  • Licensed TN Home Inspector Preferred (prefer ASHI or InterNACHI trained)
  • Stable work history
  • Willing to work additional hours (including weekends) during busy season times. Summer, etc.
  • Coachable and competitive spirit
