Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of People Operations, this role will be a remote position however we are targeting candidates that live in Knoxville, TN.
The PerfectServe People Operations Assistant will support all functions of the People Operations Team: benefits, payroll, HRIS, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, engagement, performance, talent management, training and development, travel and expense, and HR administration.
The People Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the HR function and helps to ensure that the organization's employees are well-supported and the company remains compliant with relevant regulations. This is a perfect role for someone starting out or early in their HR/PeopleOps career.
Main responsibilities
  • Compile and generate monthly PeopleOps reports.
  • Fulfill general reporting inquiries.
  • Review and approve benefit enrollments.
  • Coordinate new hire and separation communications.
  • Facilitate background checks.
  • Manage HRIS and Paycor systems, including password resets.
  • Collaborate with People Operations Specialist on Onboarding Meetings.
  • Participate in exit interviews alongside People Operations Specialist.
  • Enter new hire information into HRIS (Paycor) platform.
  • Assist in auditing Concur expenses.
  • Provide administrative support for Lattice.
  • Aid in managing Jira People Ops support portal.
  • Contribute to talent acquisition and recruiting efforts.
  • Offer assistance to the People Operations or other teams as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Understanding of basic HR principles, such as recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR laws and regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic Excel reporting and sorting, ie; filtering and pivot tables are important as we are a report/ data driven department.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are important for effectively interacting with employees, managers, and external contacts. This includes the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality is crucial. Additionally, strong interpersonal skills are needed to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and develop creative solutions is important.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset and the ability to provide excellent service to employees and other stakeholders is important.
  • Ability to adhere to high ethical standards. Integrity, honesty, and professionalism are essential qualities for success in this role.
