Description

• The Corporate EHS Manager is responsible for the site management of environmental, health, & safety programs and Worker’s Compensation across all Milsco locations in the US and MX
• Develop and implement programs / procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce EH&S hazards and energy costs associated with plant operations
• Work with plant(s) to develop programs to improve environmental impact and energy cost reduction
• Lead and manage management systems
• Work with the sites to develop and continually improve the Safety culture
• Perform job safety analysis to assist in the creation on controls for high hazard tasks
• Lead and coordinate EHS training and communication plans and programs
• Maintain good working relationships with government agencies, neighbors as well as the general public
• Remain current on relevant regulatory requirements and serve as a central technical resource to the plant
• Oversee site OSHA 300 logs
• Monitor plant EHS performance
• Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling and exposure evaluations.
• Participate on cross facility EHS audits.
• Lead/Facilitate the Plant Safety committee.
• Coordinate early equipment/process review and EHS buy-off process.
• Lead continuous improvement of the EHS function across the site.
• Assist or lead management of site worker’s compensation program
• Assist or lead management of site Risk Management program
• Auditing and compliance of environmental, health and safety programs.
• Responsible for reporting associated with the management of environmental, health & safety programs and Worker’s Compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Health, Science, or Engineering or similar 4 year degree with significant EHS experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, worker’s compensation, and risk management.
• Experience implementing EHS management systems.
• Lean manufacturing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead change, networking, team building and influencing skills.
• Experience in implementing ergonomic management systems, including performance of ergonomic assessments and training.
• Excellent computer skills: MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bi-Lingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to travel 25% of the time both domestically and internationally
