MCS is hiring for an AV Commissioner/Programmer with a strong background in Crestron programming in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

The AV Commissioner/Programmer must display a solid track record in AV programming, system design, and troubleshooting. The AV Commissioner/Programmer will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Typical duties include:

• Designing and developing custom AV system solutions, including audio, video, and control components, to meet client requirements.
• Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, technical specifications, and system functionality.
• Programing and configuring AV control systems using industry-standard programming languages and tools like Crestron, QSC, AMX, or Extron.
• Conducting comprehensive testing and debugging of AV systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Collaborating with installation technicians and providing technical guidance during system installation and integration.
• Conducting on-site commissioning of AV systems, including system calibration, audio tuning, and video optimization.
• Developing and maintaining accurate project documentation, including system designs, programming code, and troubleshooting guides.
• Providing training and support to end-users on AV system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assisting in evaluating and selecting new AV equipment, software, and tools to enhance system performance and functionality.

Required:

Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain US DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

Certification Requirements: Professional certifications in AV programming (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron AV Associate, or similar) will be advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

• 5 years of proven experience as an AV Programmer or similar role, with a strong background in AV system design and programming.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used in AV programming, such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, and BIAMP.
• Ability to travel to customer sites.
• Extensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including audio processors, video scalers, digital signal processors, switchers, and control systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as TCP/IP, RS-232, and Dante.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV system issues.
• Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
