Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise and monitor of Auto Field Appraisers.

2. Report and document variances and performance.

3. Review suspicious losses and determine if further investigation is warranted.

4. Ensure compliance of all material damage claim settlements with DOI regulations.

5. Provide material damage training

6. Maintain a high degree of knowledge in the area of physical damage and attend necessary

training programs to increase his/her knowledge.

7. Act as a technical resource in the area of material damage and estimating.

8. Handle situations arising from complaint calls from customers.

9. Act as a role model for all employees.

10. Review requests for authority timely and grant the appropriate authority to settle claims.

11. Respond to Department of Insurance inquiries.

12. Responsible for interviewing and selecting candidates for employment.

13. Complete performance evaluations as required by company policy for all employees under

his/her direct supervision.

14. Make accurate decisions on whether or not to deny coverage.

15. Recommend candidates for new hires or for advancement or promotion within the company.

16. Recommend appropriate direction on all open files through verbal instructions or written

action plans placed in claims files.

17. Maintain high morale and production for the team.

18. Assist with other duties and /or projects as assigned by management.

19. Other duties as assigned by management or as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. 5 years of auto physical damage estimating experience. Preferably with an insurance carrier. 2. Supervisory and or management experience, preferred. 3. Time management and organization skills, required. 4. Excellent Customer Service skills. 5. Excellent communication skills both oral and written 6. Negotiation and problem solving skills 7. Have thorough computer knowledge and the ability to operate: Microsoft products (Word/Excel), CCC Products (CCC One, Accumark and CCC Portal) and navigate through ALLDATA Repair.
