Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Waterjet Operator to join our team. As a Waterjet Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts and components according to specifications. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision measuring instruments will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the finished products.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, laser cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, and stamping presses
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions of machined parts
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished products for defects or errors, and perform quality control checks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Ability to use tools such as cranes for material handling
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
