Phoenix based High Precision Machine Shop is seeking a Quality Inspector to fill a permanent full-time, day shift position that offers a highly competitive wage and benefits. The position entails scheduling work flow, performing inspections, checks, tests and creating reports for quality control for manufacturing of machined parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform in-process as well as final manufacturing inspections, sampling and testing of fabricated components.
• Visual inspection.
• CMM inspection.
• MCOSMOS, CALYPSO or PC-DMIS (preferable MCOSMOS)
• Mitutoyo's MCOSMOS knowledge highly preferred.
• Record defects and takes appropriate action to correct the issue.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment with a strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills required, including but not limited to the use of e-mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe.
• Must be able to use basic hand and various measuring and test equipment.
• Ability to work overtime required.
• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; mechanical aptitude required.
• Must be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications.
• Requires knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and finish requirements.
• Able to read and interpret specification and standards.
• Familiar with weld symbols, call-outs.
• Must be able to use basic hand and various measuring and test equipment.
• Ability to work at various pace with a strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work overtime required.
• Be able to lift up to 65 lbs.
