Assistant Manager / Lead Server
Körk Wine Bar, an award winning wine bar in downtown Georgetown, is hiring a lead server / assistant manager.
Our beautiful location is just off of the Georgetown square, with a large bar area, a temperature controlled wine room, a large north patio and covered south patio, indoor/outdoor feel with six garage doors, and a focus on wine first, with wine offerings from around the world. We serve charcuterie boards, salads and Neapolitan style pizza to pair with the wine. Körk also received the prestigious Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2021, 2022, and 2023. DESCRIPTION: This role will serve as the Lead Server / Assistant Manager for the wine bar. Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, acting as lead server on the floor, maintaining menus and POS system, and ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. This position reports to the General Manager. We are looking for a very detailed oriented self-starter who is willing to learn all aspects of running a wine bar and shares the vision of the owners to create a community where customers can enjoy new or favorite wines paired with fantastic food options in a relaxed environment.

Fully understands and complies with all federal, state, county and city regulations pertaining to health, safety and labor requirements of the wine bar, employees and guests
QUALIFICATIONS:
High-school diploma or equivalent
1 - 2 years of wine service experience
2 - 3 years of restaurant or wine bar management experience preferred
Ability to work flexible hours that include evenings and weekends
Computer competency skills required; Clover experience preferred
Food Handler Certification or ability to complete required
TABC certification or ability to complete required
WSET 2 or CMS Intro preferred
Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stretch for the duration of shift
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull approximately 40 pounds
