This position is being offered in Albuquerque. This is a full-time position 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

The experienced Accountant will oversee the Finance function. The role will be responsible for upholding state and federal requirements, incorporating changes, disseminating information to Finance staff, overseeing the budgeting process, maintaining the general ledger, and allocating costs to appropriate contracts. This role will also work closely with our CPA firm on financial reporting and analysis of how the business is performing and work with our CPA firm that performs annual audits.

Requirements

The knowledge and experience needed for this position are: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting 
• 5 or more years of experience in accounting
• 2 or more years of experience in not-for-profit accounting 
• 2 or more years of leadership experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Sage 50 or other accounting software is preferred
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent follow-through ability
• Resourceful and ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
