As a Cook, you'll be working in a team environment with new challenges every day. Unlike other cooking positions in hospitality (restaurants, hotels, resorts) in this role, you'll have the opportunity to build life-long relationships serving our residents and experience their gratitude for a job well done. You will also perform batch from scratch cooking to help our residents with the fresh, delicious, and nutritious meals that keep them thriving everyday.
What Jefferson Lodge looks for in a Cook:
Professional cooking experience in a commercial environment, ideally senior living or high-volume food production
Knowledge of food preparation, safe handling techniques, and essential nutrition.
Reliable transportation, dependable and timely.
Compassionate individual who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
Quick learner who can master working with various types of equipment
What you can expect to do as a Cook for Jefferson Lodge:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, including properly preparing, serving, and storing food
Ensure the special dietary needs of residents are met
Make a significant contribution to our resident's quality of life by maintaining the highest possible quality and consistency of meals prepared and served
Demonstrate organizational skills around time management
Work in a team environment where communication is key
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation
Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living
$16.50 - $18.00/hour
Depending on Experience
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 9:30am-5:30pm ( 1 Hour lunch)
35 hours weekly
