San Fernando Valley-based publication seeking an advertising sales representative to approach local businesses for our monthly educational publication.

Advertising Sales Rep. Responsibilities
Familiar with SFV businesses helpful
Identify local potential clients and understand the needs of their target customers based on geographic location
Contact and set up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals and address their concerns (phone/zoom/ or in person)
Personalize advertising packages to meet client’s needs
Persuade clients to purchase ad space and services by communicating benefits
Maintain client database and communication reports
Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients
Organize, hold and attend online meetings as required
Providing recommendations on suitable formats and advertising mediums
Submit weekly production reports
Requirements
Familiar with businesses in the San Fernando Valley helpful
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor's or associate's degree in advertising, communications, or related field is preferred.
Proven experience working as an advertising sales representative
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of marketing principles and techniques
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
Effective communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Good writing skills
Compensation: Tiered commission structure starting at 10%. Note: this is a commission only position.
