POSITION PURPOSE:
As a Director of Training and Learning Development, you will be instrumental in fostering the professional growth and competency development of Medical Support staff within our healthcare organization. You will design, implement, and evaluate training programs tailored to the specific needs of medical support staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality patient care and support organizational objectives.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Successful completion of in-house training.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated proficiency in nursing practice and patient care.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Experience in staff development, training, or education within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of nursing education principles, adult learning theory, and instructional design methodologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Program Development:
Collaborate with nursing leadership and subject matter experts to identify training needs and priorities for medical support staff.
Develop comprehensive training programs and curriculum that address clinical competencies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in nursing care.
Customize training materials, resources, and simulations to reflect the unique challenges and responsibilities faced by medical support staff in our healthcare setting.
Training Delivery:
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and skills labs to enhance the clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities of medical support staff.
Provide hands-on instruction and guidance on nursing procedures, medication administration, documentation practices, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Conduct competency assessments and skill validations to ensure medical support staff maintain proficiency and meet performance standards.
Evaluation and Assessment:
Implement mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and assess the impact on patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and organizational goals.
Collect feedback from medical support staff, preceptors, nursing supervisors, and center directors to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and ongoing learning needs.
Analyze training data and metrics to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize staff development efforts.
Professional Development:
Facilitate professional development activities to support career advancement and lifelong learning for medical support staff
Serve as a mentor and resource for seeking guidance and educational opportunities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with nursing leadership, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate staff development initiatives into the broader medical support staff education and quality improvement strategies.
Communicate effectively and foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Promote awareness of available resources, training opportunities, and support services to empower medical support staff to excel in their roles and deliver exceptional patient care.
