Job Summary

Hopscotch has a wonderful opportunity for a Safety Ambassador with experience in security, hospitality, de-escalation and guest experience. The Safety Ambassador reports directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager. They are responsible for working with a diverse team to help ensure the safety and security of our guests and staff.

A successful candidate loves to work with people, demonstrates strong problem solving skills, is not afraid to approach conflict quickly and efficiently and floats between departments with ease and comfortability. They must have a professional outlook while working efficiently and enthusiastically in a high-volume, high paced environment. Must have regular weekend availability and be excited to work in a creative and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee all entrances to supervise the entry of ticketed guests to ensure safety for everyone inside.
• Assist at the check in desk to welcome guests by giving a breakdown of the experience along with installation knowledge.
• Identify visitors who are not warranted to enter and assist in the purchasing of tickets if they wish to do so.
• Respond to all requests for assistance by staff to help facilitate, problem solve and de-escalate any uncomfortable situations that may arise.
• Assist with the removal of all non-ticketed, unwelcome visitors in a kind and loving manner.
• Work with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to come up with new ways to keep the environment inclusive and safe.
• Be committed to patrolling the building across all departments to engage with guests to enhance their experience and make them feel welcome.
• Ensure cleanliness of assigned station, gallery floors and all other spaces at all times.
• Assist the bar in bar maintenance and cleanliness as you float to help give guests a better experience.
• Maintain rigorous corporate standards and professionalism in aesthetics, guest experience and all other aspects of the business to help create a positive and consistent guest experience from start to finish.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the overarching success and safety of the business.

Compensation

• Part Time
• Hourly: $18/hr

• Prior security experience
• Flexible and open scheduling availability with the specific ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends as required
