MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAL

Day Shift

Basic Function :

Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of grounds and property in a timely manner. The person must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :

• Doors: adjust, paint, replace doors/knobs, chain locks, room number plaques, thresholds, and weather stripping
• Electrical: clean and repair exterior bulbs and fixtures, know the location of all breakers, fuse and/or connectors, and clean, repair or replace some, repair or replace switches, fans, lamps, and appliances
• Furniture, chairs, draperies, and rods: tighten, repair and clean
• Equipment and Tolls: store, inventory, repair and clean
• Heaters/Acs: change and clean filters, repair and replace
• Landscaping: trim, mow, fertilize, and plant
• Laundry equipment, ice machines and other: clean, oil, adjust, and maintain
• Plumbing: know location of all outside, clean-out, and cut off valves clean, repair and replace, repair toilet seats, tubs and lavatories
• Outside walls: clean and repair
• Sidewalks and decks: clean and repair
• Steps and stairwells: clean, repair and paint
• Storage and equipment rooms: clean and organize
• Swimming pools: clean, maintain, regulate, repair, including area around pool, and equipment room
• Television: adjust, replace, repair, including antenna system and connectors
• Trash containers: empty, clean, repair, and replace
• Vending machines and vending area: clean, repair, refill, and winterize
• Walls, floors, and ceiling: repair and dry-out carpet, patch or replace bath floors
• Windows: wash, caulk, repair, and replace
• Meet the requirements as stated in the employee handbook

• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
• Ability to effectively deal with Guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

• Morning shift
• Year round work
