This is a temporary position at the Texas Department of Transportation for a warehouse worker.

Pay will depend on the classification TXDOT gives you - $19-$21 hourly.

Experience:

• Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• High school degree

Job Duties:

Receiving FedEx/UPS, etc.: Inspect, assure count and sign for incoming packages.

Shipping: Processing FedEx outgoing shipments. Envelope size to large size. (45-50 lbs.)

Logging incoming packages: Log packages on incoming log. Notify recipient that package/s has delivered and is ready for pick up. Assist recipients in retrieving packing if necessary. Ensuring all packages are signed out on the log.

Sending data entry information by email to telework employees. This will include stock inventory used by TxDOT personnel.

There could be more tasks added when necessary. There will be some down time. It isn't non-stop work…. Until it is. May have to deal with more than one person at a time. Or several. It isn't often but it does happen.

Our State Set-Asides require us to carry a ratio of 75%-25%. Meaning 75% of all our employees must either have a disability or a barrier to employment.
