Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. Duties:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing - Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and recreational activities
- Monitor and record vital signs as required - Assist individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease by implementing appropriate care strategies
- Support individuals receiving hospice care with compassion and empathy
- Work with individuals on the autism spectrum to promote independence and social skills development Skills:
- Experience in dementia care and understanding of related challenges
- Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to medication schedules
- Knowledge of social work principles and ability to provide emotional support
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and sensitivity towards end-of-life needs
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum using appropriate strategies and interventions
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
- Physical strength and ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Competency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
