Flynn Construction is Hiring a Project Manager Near Pittsburgh, PA

Our Project Managers are responsible for managing multiple construction projects. Project Managers report to the owner, working in conjunction with the General Superintendent and Accountant to meet firm objectives and goals. This position will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day field activities to ensure that the project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date is met

Maintain project logs, submittal logs and develop change orders

Copy and assemble all paperwork, including Subcontract Agreements and Addendums

Send and keep track of Notice to Proceed letters to Subcontractors and Suppliers

Will be expected to direct all aspects of construction phases from estimating to project completion

Will be responsible for managing several projects at a time

Communicate all information from the architects to those impacted

Prepare and maintain all project files

Assist with distribution of plans to Subcontractors and Suppliers for bidding

Ability to handle general construction issues with creative problem solving and researching capabilities and to bring solutions to the problems without direction

Will be responsible for tracking the project against its schedule, budget and against phase review objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis, and executive staff on an as needed basis

Minimum Qualifications

Must have 2 to 5 years commercial construction project management experience (restaurant, athletic club and retail construction projects a plus)

Must have strong multi-tasking capabilities

Strong ability to work with others: clients, fellow workers, subordinates and management

Strong negotiating skills required

In addition, you must be highly ethical, detail oriented, flexible and personable

Strong cost control and project budget management experience

Must be able to able to conceptually estimate based on preliminary architectural drawings and outline performance requirements/scope of work for subcontractors

Strong scheduling abilities

Must be familiar with purchase orders, Project Manager documents and writing contracts

Travel is required, between 40-75% depending on projects
