Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, patient centered individual that is highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant. As a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and excellent patient service in a medical setting. Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients
- Coordinate referrals and obtain necessary authorizations

-Back office functions such as rooming patients, medication reconciliations, phlebotomy as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic area
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow
- Provides patient education on endoscopy procedures and schedules as required
- Perform basic life support procedures, if required

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is preferred
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with medical coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD)
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
